About this site

I am Areg Melik-Adamyan, and here are three facts about me. A simple fact - I am a curious programmer focused on some good ideas that I am lazily pursuing. A surprising fact - I taught in parallel with the work, which helped both research and production jobs. And a surprising fact - I cook a damn good bbq. Interested in strategy (in large) and technology strategy (in particular). I read a lot, but I don't remember anything.
The most important question is, why blog and why now? The world definitely doesn't need more noise and an increase in entropy. I was motivated mainly by requests from my friends and colleagues who wanted to link to some ideas I mostly expressed in conversations. I came to the point where the amount of materials I had accumulated over the years needed to be systematized and placed somewhere for sharing - primarily for the benefit of my friends and me.
Job: I'm leading the AI Compilers team at Intel. We focused on the Triton and MLIR stacks in PyTorch for various Intel hardware. I also help architect and manage various other things besides doing the day-to-day job.
Passionate about programming and software engineering education. Interested in making epic shit happen.
